eTaskMaker Module Updates for May

May 7th, 2007

InterPlan Systems has released the following updated eTaskMaker estimating modules:

  • Fired Heater Tubes Decoking (Rev. 2) - (updated) Added scenario for using pigging method (in addition to the existing scenario for steam air decoking).
  • Fired Heater Tubes - Stuck Pig Retrieval - (new) When it is not possible to dislodge a stuck pig through hydraulic action, it can be necessary to cut the tube to retrieve it.

InterPlan Systems Announces a Free eTaskMaker Project Planning Seminar in May

Houston, TX, April 7, 2007 — InterPlan Systems today announced a free training seminar set for Thursday, May 31st for their eTaskMaker project planning software. The seminar will be conducted by Dick Ertl, President of InterPlan Systems and the developer of eTaskMaker’s estimating and planning knowledge base.

The session, from 9am until noon, will demonstrate how to use the eTaskMaker Wizard, including:

  • How to create project plans
  • How to export the plans into a project scheduling system
  • How to manage complex plans
  • How to use the eTaskMaker plans to prepare sophisticated cost estimates at the work order, AFE and contractor levels
  • Q&A session

The seminar will be held at the Houston Business Roundtable’s training facility across from Hobby Airport. Attendance is free, but pre-registration is required to guarantee a seat.

InterPlan Systems to Discuss Standardizing and Improving Best Practices in Estimating and Planning at Annual NPRA Reliability and Maintenance Conference

Bernard Ertl to Discuss Problems and Solutions for Standardizing and Improving Best Practices in Estimating and Planning.

HOUSTON, TX, February 7, 2007 – InterPlan Systems Inc., announced today that Bernard Ertl, InterPlan vice president, will speak at the 2007 National Petrochemical & Refiners Association (NPRA) Reliability and Maintenance Conference and Exhibition on Wednesday, May 23 at 10am in Houston, Texas.

Titled “Standardizing and Improving Best Practices in Estimating and Planning,” the presentation explore research on inconsistent planning quality, problems inherent in the manual or static template based approach to capturing and improving best practices and solutions to some of the common problems.

“At InterPlan Systems, we’ve been able to study the workflow processes for estimating and planning turnarounds for several decades,” said Ertl. “ This has led to insights into the common problems and potential solutions to improving the processes for data capturing, distributing corporate know how and reducing the potential for errors to ensure that customers achieve the level of success that they have come to expect from us.”

Updated eTaskMaker Help Files and Manuals are Available

The help files for eTaskMaker (both Wizard and Module Editor) have been updated. The Wizard file update includes descriptions for all export options that have been added since the last documentation update. The Module Editor update includes new information pertinent to revising existing modules. eTaskMaker clients may now download the updates from our downloads repository.

Clients may also order updated versions of the manuals in print format for a nominal fee of $15 plus shipping and handling. Contact us for details on ordering.
